Mohamed Mostafa Abdel-Azim

Head of Networks and Communications Systems, Taibah University, Saudi Arabia


He received the BSc degree in electrical engineering from Cairo University in 1994, the MS degree from the Technical University Eindhoven, Netherlands, in 1997, and the PhD degree in computer science from Tohoku University, Japan, in 2006. In 2008, he joined college of computer science and engineering at Taibah University, KSA. Currently, he is the head of the networks and communications systems department. He is the author of several research papers published in the most reputable journals and conferences such as IEEE transaction, Photonic Network Communications, Journal of optical Networking, ICC06. He is a member of IEEE 1903 standard’s working group. His current research interests are optical networks survivability, network modeling and simulation, routing and security protocols for wireless sensor networks.
