Pablo Daniel Ghiringhelli

Pablo Daniel Ghiringhelli was born in Capital Federal, Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1957. He received the natural science teaching degree from the Padre Elizalde Institute in 1980 and the Ph.D. degree from the Facultad de Ciencias Exactas, Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP), La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2002. Since 1985, Ghiringhelli is with the Quìmicas Biológicas Lab of UNLP. In 1988, he had a fellowship from SECyT (Secretaría de Estado de Ciencia y Técnica). From 1989 to 1993, he had a fellowship from CONICET (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas). He worked on molecular biology of arenavirus, specifically with Junin virus. Since August 1992, he has been a Researcher and Professor at the Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (UNQ). Here he designed and implemented various courses of the Licenciatura en Biotecnología and created the Laboratorio de Ingeniería Genética y Biología Celular y Molecular. Presently, he is a Titular Professor of bioinformatics at the UNQ, a is Member of Research Career at the CONICET, and conducts research in molecular biology of baculovirus.
