Candice C. Black

Candice C. Black was born in Brooklyn, NY, USA. She studied chemistry at the University of Mississippi (1989-1992) and attended Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine (1992-1996) in Davie, Fla, USA. She completed a rotating internship at Florida Medical Center (1996-1997) in Plantation, Fla, USA. She completed a pathology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City (1997-2001). She served as the Chief Resident and was a Visiting Resident in pulmonary pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology during her senior year. She finished an Oncologic Pathology Fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City (2001-2002) and then joined the staff at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Dartmouth Medical School in 2002. She serves as the Director of the Residency Training Program and teaches pulmonary pathology at Dartmouth Medical School. Her research interests include preneoplasia and neoplasia of the upper and lower respiratory system.
