Ceferino M. López Sández

Ceferino M. Lopez was born in Lugo (Galicia, Spain) in 1967. He obtained a V.M.D. degree in 1991 from Lugo Veterinary Faculty, Santiago de Compostela University, and a Ph.D. degree in veterinary medicine from the same university in 1996. He is a Diplomate EVPC (European Veterinary College of Parasitology) since 2005. He was first involved in research projects and teaching on parasite diseases in Lugo Veterinary Faculty for fifteen years. He was the Coordinator of ̏ Research in Medicine and Animal Health ̋ Master at Santiago University from 2009 till 2010 and he is currently a CeTA Subdirector (Centro de Tecnoloxías para o Aprendizaxe), who is responsible for teacher training and new technologies in Lugo Campus and teaching in epidemiology science. His main interest is parasite epidemiology, especially ovine lungworms. As a hobby, and part of his work, he is interested in the use of free software (GPL) to teach, above all R statistical package and MOODLE.
