Bosukonda M. Mohan

Bosukonda M. Mohan was born in Tapeswaram, India, in 1960. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, in 1982; the M.S. degree in electrical engineering (with control systems specialization) from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India, in 1985; and the Doctoral degree in engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, 1989. From July 1989 to October 1990 he was on the faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli, India. Since November 1990 he has been on the faculty of Electrical Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, where he currently serves as a Professor. He worked as a Visiting Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering/Systems, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, Calif, USA, in 2006. His research interests include identification, analysis, and control of dynamical systems using fuzzy logic and orthogonal functions. Mohan coauthored the research monographs "Orthogonal functions in systems and control" (World Scientific, Singapore, 1995), "Continuous time dynamical systems: state estimation and optimal control with orthogonal functions" (CRC Press, USA, 2012), and several papers in international journals and conferences. He is a Member of IFAC Technical Committee on Computational Intelligence in Control, Member of Asian Control Association, Member of Automatic Control and Dynamic Optimization Society, Life Member of Systems Society of India, Senior Member of the IEEE, and Life Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India). Mohan serves as an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Automation and Control; an Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Mathematics and Engineering with Computers, the Journal of Control Engineering and Technology, the International Journal of Engineering Science, and other journal; an Editor of Current Trends in Nonlinear Systems and Control and Advances in Fuzzy Systems; a Reviewer for Computing Reviews.
