Werner M. Seiler

Werner M. Seiler is serving as a Professor of mathematics at Kassel University, Kassel, Germany. His research interests include the formal theory of differential equations, in particular under- and overdetermined systems, symmetry theory, and geometric singularities and its applications in mathematical physics and computer algebra. He received his Diploma and Ph.D. in physics at Karlsruhe University, Karlsruhe, Germany, in 1990 and at Lancaster University, England in 1995, respectively. Seiler also held research positions at Mannheim University, Mannheim, Germany, where he obtained his Habilitation degree in mathematics in 2002, and Heidelberg University, Heidelberg, Germany, until 2006. Since then, Seiler has been a Full Professor at Kassel University.
