Chenguang Yang

Chenguang Yang serves as a Senior Member of IEEE. He received a B.E. degree in measurement and control from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China, in 2005, and a Ph.D. degree in control engineering from the National University of Singapore, Singapore, in 2010. He received Postdoctoral Training in the Department of Bioengineering at Imperial College London, London, UK. He was the recipient of the prestigious Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship funded by the European Commission. He was awarded the Best Paper Award of the IEEE Transactions on Robotics in 2011 and Best Conference Paper Award from 2016 International Conference on Human System Interaction (HSI), 2015 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA), and 2015 International Conference on Intelligent Robotics and Applications (ICIRA), as well as the Steve and Rosalind Hsia Best Biomedical Paper Award from 2014 World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation (WCICA). His supervised students received Best Student Paper Awards from 2014 IET ISSC, 2015 IEEE-CYBER, and 2016 IEEE-ARM. He has authored and coauthored two monographs on robotics published by Springer and has produced more than 150 journal and conference papers. According to Google Scholar, Dr. Yang had more than 1900 citations in 2011. He is serving as an Associate Editor of Neurocomputing and International Journal of Modelling, Identification and Control. He served as Program Cochair of 2016 IEEE International Conference on Advanced Robotics and Mechatronics. Dr. Yang has organized and coorganized a few special issues on IEEE Transaction on System, Man, and Cybernetics: System, Advances in Mechanical Engineering, and Discrete Dynamics in Nature and Society.
