Gabriella Marucci

Gabriella Marucci took her degree in Pharmacy on the 04/06/1989 with at the University of Camerino. She is an Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry, School of Pharmacy, Medicinal Chemistry Unit, University of Camerino. Her main field of interest was the mechanisms of drug-receptor interaction applied to adrenergic and muscarinic receptors. Currently her interest is directed toward the study of G-proteins coupled receptors through a pharmacological, toxicological and biotechnological approach. She was referee for international journals. She has been one among the organizers of the Camerino-Noordwijkerhout Symposium "Trends in Receptor Research" that is held, every 4 years, in Camerino. Moreover she has organized the meeting “Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology of Purinergic Receptors” Camerino 2003, and “Third Joint Italian-German Purine Club Meeting”, Camerino 2009. Gabriella Marucci has been a member of the Italian Chemical Society (SCI) and of the International Purine Club, a no-profit organization gathering together all the major expert worldwide in the field of purine and pyrimidine research. She has presented 150 communications to meetings and has published more than 100 scientific papers in international journals.
