Gianluca Del Rossi

Gianluca Del Rossi, PhD, ATC, serves as an Associate Professor at the Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at the University of South Florida where he teaches in the Athletic Training Program. He earned his Ph.D. degree in athletic training and sports medicine from the University of Florida. Rossi has been a certified athletic trainer for 15 years and acted as the founding Director of the USF Concussion Center. Much of his research has focused on the management of cervical spine injuries. He has authored several papers on the safety of various procedures and techniques used for transferring spine-injured patients. Recently, Rossi has also focused his attention on evaluating injury prevention strategies in sport.
