Agustin G. Asuero University of Seville Agustin G. Asuero was born in Huelva, Spain, in 1951. He received the Chemical Sciences degree and the PhD degree (summa cum laude) from the University of Seville (Spain) in 1974 and 1976, respectively. Assistant (1976), Associate (1980) and Full Professor (1996) of Analytical Chemistry, in the University of Seville. He has published more than one hundredth papers on analytical and pharmaceutical journals included in the ISI Web of Knowledge. He is mainly interested in calibration and parameter estimation methods, solution and nonaqueous equilibria, chemometrics, trace analysis and polyphenol phytochemicals (i.e. anthocyanins), methodological aspects of analytical science, and history of chemistry and pharmacy. He has been Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy (1989-1992 and 2001-2009), Vicerrector of the University (1992-1995 and 1997-2000) and Head of the Analytical Chemistry Department (2009-to date), in the University of Seville. He is a numerary member of the Iberoamerican Academy of Pharmacy (1992) and corresponding member of the Royal National Academy of Pharmacy of Spain (2005), Peruvian Academy of Pharmacy (2007) and Royal Academy of Pharmacy of Catalonian (2010). ). He is a member (MRSC) of the Royal Society of Chemistry (U.K.), since 1977. He is married with Puri and has three sons Agustin, Puri and Irene. Biography updated on 10 June 2011
