Qingling Zhang received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Mathematics and Automatic Control Department of Northeastern University, Liaoning, China, in 1982, 1985, and 1995, respectively. At the same time, he has been working at the same department as Assistant, Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Professor. His research interests include differential and algebraic equations as well as biomathematics. So far he has published more than 300 papers and received a few academic awards from Chinese central and local governments for his contributions to scientific research. Zhang is now Chairman of Liaoning Province Association of Mathematics and Asian Editor of International Journal of Information and Systems Science. He also serves as Director of Institute of Systems Science in Northeastern University.
