Yan Liang

Yan Liang received the B.E. degree from the School of Marine Engineering at Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), Xi'an, China, in 1993, and the M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Automation at NPU in 1998 and 2001, respectively. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, from April 2001 to July 2003, a Research Fellow at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, from May 2006 to August 2006, and a Visiting Scholar at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, Canada, from December 2007 to December 2008. Since 2009, he has been a Professor at the School of Automation at NPU. His research interests are in the areas of state estimation, information fusion, and target tracking.
