Edward J. Allen

E. J. Allen received B.S. and M.S. degrees in nuclear engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wis, USA. From 1974 to 1980, he worked as a Nuclear Engineer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, Tenn, USA. In 1983, he obtained a Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tenn, USA. Since 1985, he has been working at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Tex, USA, where he is a Professor of mathematics. Allen's research interests include the derivation and analysis of stochastic differential equations, numerical analysis, neutron transport, and population biology. He is the author or coauthor of 65 papers and two texts, and he has directed the research of 25 masters students and 5 doctoral students. He is currently serving on the Editorial Boards of the International Journal of Numerical Analysis and Modeling and on the International Journal of Stochastic Analysis.
