Virgílio E. do Rosário

Virgílio E. do Rosário was born in 1946. He graduated as a veterinary surgeon in Mozambique. He gained his Ph.D. degree from Edinburgh University in the area of genetics of drug resistance in malaria parasites. At present at the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University Nova de Lisboa, Lisbon, he is working in the area of parasitology, malaria, neglected diseases, global warming, environmental changes with collaboration with mainly European, African, and Latin- American institutions.
