Maqsood M. Elahi is an Assistant Professor of cardiothoracic surgery at the Texas A&M Medical University, Tex, USA, and staff specialist at the Scott & White Hospital. He is also an Honorary Research Fellow within the Institute of Developmental Sciences, School of Medicine, University of Southampton, UK. Dr. Elahi specializes in adult and congenital paediatric cardiothoracic and transplant surgery and is trained in UK, USA, and Australia. Dr. Elahi is a Ph.D. graduate of the University of Southampton, UK, and a Fellow in cardiothoracic surgery from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Dr. Elahi has an extensive research experience in the areas of developmental origins of early cardiovascular and congenital disease and its prevention with interventional strategies.
