Claudio Gervasi serves as an Associate Professor of electrochemistry and materials science at the Engineering College from the University of La Plata, Argentina. He earned his Ph.D. degree in this field from the University of La Plata in 1997. As part of his doctoral studies, he spent two years as a DAAD Fellow at the Institut für Physikalische Chemie und Elektrochemie III, Karlsruhe University, Germany. He then held a postdoctoral appointment at the same institution also as a DAAD Fellow. At present, he holds a senior research position at INIFTA at La Plata University. His research broadly encompasses electrochemistry for materials science, with a particular focus on corrosion and nanomaterials for sensor applications. He has published over 60 papers and 3 chapters in reference books on these topics and has been acting as an Invited Speaker at several national and international conferences.
