Der-Chang Lo

National Kaohsiung Marine University, Taiwan

D. C. Lo was born in September 13, 1975 in Kinmen. He received his Ph.D. degree in the civil engineering field from the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2004. From August 1, 2004 to July 31, 2005, Lo was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Civil Engineering at the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. During the period from 2004 to 2012, he has published more than 30 scientific papers in internationally reputed journals such as the Journal of Computational Physics, the International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, the Journal of Engineering Mechanics, and the International Journal for Numerical Method in Fluids and Numerical Heat Transfer. Some of his researches are related to the field of the numerical methods and computational mechanics. He has developed some novel numerical algorithms using the finite difference method, finite element method, and the differential quadrature method, for the solution of velocity-pressure and velocity-vorticity form of Navier-Stokes equations for various computational fluid dynamics applications. Presently, he is working as a Faculty Member in the Institute of Information and Technology at the National Kaohsiung Marine University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. His current research interests are heat and mass transfer, computational fluid dynamics, ship hydrodynamic, magnetohydrodynamic, and numerical methods, and multidimensional viscous flow.
