Dr. Tao Li received his Ph.D. degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and has been working in the area of advanced materials for more than 10 years. His work on piezoelectric materials in the last decade has attracted huge attention, where he involved not only on academic research, but also the spin-off of the technology. He has developed wealthy R&D experiences in piezoelectric ceramics, transducers, actuators, ultrasonic motors and micro pumps. Dr. Li has numerals scientific contributions including, particularly in the area of piezoelectric technologies, 30 well cited international journal papers, several patents and 2 book chapters. He currently continues his piezoelectric research in the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, as a senior research scientist. Dr. Li also works as a consultant for various projects and has been involved in product development for different industrial applications.
