Christophe Marchand

Christophe Marchand obtained his Ph.D. degree in molecular pharmacology in 1997 from the University of Paris, Pierre and Marie Curie, France in the area of gene therapy via DNA triple helix formation. In 1998, he joined the Laboratory of Molecular Pharmacology, CCR, NCI as a Visiting Fellow where he was appointed a Staff Scientist in 2006. Dr. Marchand serves as a Steering Committee Member for the Center of Excellence in HIV and Cancer Virology at NCI. Dr. Marchand received two NCI Director's Intramural Innovation Awards (2007 and 2011) for the development of novel high-throughput screening assays. He is also the Recipient of several Federal Technology Transfer awards for his work on HIV-1 integrase and Tdp1 inhibitors.
