Seong-Hun Kim is an Associate Professor and the Chair of the Department of Orthodontics School of Dentistry, Kyung Hee University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He is also a Visiting Assistant Professor of the Division of Orthodontics, Department of Orofacial Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), CA, USA, the National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology in HCMc, Vietnam, and Clinical Adjunct Assistant Professor of the Department of Orthodontics, Center for Advanced Dental Education, Saint Louis University, MO, USA. Kim obtained an Orthodontic certificate, an M.S. degree in the Department of Orthodontics, School of Dentistry at the Kyung Hee University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, and a Ph.D. degree in the Department of Orthodontics, School of Dentistry at the Seoul National University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He was an Assistant Professor of the Orthodontics Division at the Catholic University of Korea, Uijongbu St. Mary’s Hospital and Graduate School of Clinical Dental Science. Kim is the Director of the Kyung Hee International Facial Orthodontic Research Institute at KHUDH and specializes in the treatment on temporary skeletal anchorage devices (mini-implant and miniplate) and accelerated tooth movement related orthodontics. He is one of the leading research experts in the role of TSADs, biogenic materials, and CAD/CAM appliances in contemporary dentistry fields. He is the author of six international text books and over 120 international and domestic scientific articles about this topic.
