Education 2004 Master of Public Health (Concentration: Health Care Management; GPA: 3.77), Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, USA. 2001 Residency in Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine with honors, University of Bologna, Italy. 1997 Degree in Medicine and Surgery with honors, University of Bologna, Italy. Research - Since 2001, he published 15 books or book chapters and 100 scientific papers in extenso; 79 of which in MedLine journals (38 first of last authorships; overall impact factor 198; over 600 citations as of March 2012; H Index = 14). He is also referee for several I.F. scientific journals. - Since 1997 he collaborated to 33 research projects (in 20 of which he was head of the project or of a unit), financed for a total of € 15,090,000 (€ 12,900,000). With Drs. Bonanni, his project has been classified first among 1250 other projects presented for the National “Young Researcher” Call of the year 2007 (by the Italian Minister of Health). - The main fields of research concern case-mix classification systems; methods to assess hospital care quality; application of epidemiological and biostatistical methods to clinical and preventive (especially on vaccines) medicine. Teaching - He is currently teacher of 18 courses of epidemiology, hygiene and healthcare organization and policy at the University of Chieti. He is also teacher of several Master Programs at the Universities Catholic and Sapienza of Rome, and Bocconi of Milan.
