Muhammad Abbas completed his B.S. and M.S. degrees at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan, in 2001 and 2003, respectively. He started his career as a Lecturer at University of Sargodha, Sargodha, Pakistan, in 2005 and taught a variety of courses of applied and pure mathematics at undergraduate and graduate level. In 2012, he completed his Ph.D. degree in computer aided geometric design at School of Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia, where he also completed his postdoctorate fellowship in 2013. His research interest is shape-preserving scientific data visualization. Dr. Abbas has published many papers at international conferences and peer-reviewed journals in his area of research. He has special concerns in computer-aided geometric design, computer graphics, and shape-preserving data visualization and numerical methods for PDEs and ODEs.
