Uzi Vishne

Uzi Vishne received a Ph.D. degree in 2001 under Louis H. Rowen. He held postdoc positions at the Hebrew University, Universite Catholique de Louvain and Yale University. He received a Levitzki Prize in algebra for 2003. He is a Member of the Institute of Advanced Study (2005). His fields of expertise include central simple algebras, algebras with involution, structure of rings, growth of algebras, and polynomial identities. He served as a Secretary of the Israel Mathematical Union from 2011 till 2012.
