Sang-Choon Cho

Sang‐Choon Cho, Ph.D. degree holder, is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of Advanced Program for International Dentists in implant dentistry and Codirector of Clinical Research at the Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry, New York, NY, USA. Currently, he is holding a position as an ICOI Ambassador and is recognized as a Diplomat of ICOI. Cho graduated from the College of Dentistry at Kyungpook National University, Korea, and received his B.S. degree in dental science, in 1984. Cho continued his clinical practice in Republic of Korea, until coming to the United States, in 1995, to further his studies. He then received an Advanced Implantology Certificate from the New York University, where he has been teaching hands‐on implant surgery and restorative courses since 1997. In 2003, Cho received his Ph.D. degree in dental surgery, from New York University. Cho is part of the Editorial Board for Journal of Periodontal and Implant Science. He is a Member of AO (Academy of Osseointegration), Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics (GNYAP), and OKU. He received the Outstanding Teacher Award in 2013. He has published over 30 articles in peer‐reviewed journals and wrote chapters in 4 textbooks. He currently has a private practice in New York City and New Jersey specializing in dental implantology and dental aesthetics. He delivers timely scientific presentations and continually publishes articles in prestigious dental journals. In addition to teaching and lecturing, Cho has a private practice in New York City in implantology and dental aesthetics.
