Abbas Abdollahi has been working as a Scientific Review Officer/Administrator at the Health and Civil Services Sector of SRA International Inc., and as Adjunct Professor at Temple University, Philadelphia, Pa, USA, since 2005. He also served as Contributing Editor for Informa Healthcare/BioTechniques (2007–2009). Previously, he held research and/or teaching positions at Fox Chase Cancer Center (1994–2005), University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (1989-1992), Philadelphia, Pa, USA, Drexel University (1987–1989; 1984–1986), Philadelphia, Pa, USA, Shiraz University (1986–1987), Shiraz, Fars, Iran, and California State University (1982–1984) Long Beach, Calif, USA. He is mainly interested in medical biology, particularly in the areas of molecular biology and genetics of cancer. A. Abdollahi received his B.S. degree in nutrition from Shiraz University in 1972, M.S. degree in food microbiology from Pennsylvania State University in 1976, and Ph.D. degree in environmental science/molecular toxicology from Drexel University in 1980. He has been corecipient of several NIH-supported grants and has published papers on cancer biology, genetics, gene discovery, signal transduction, metabolism, and cellular and molecular biology. He has been a member of several scientific organizations including AACR and AAAS.
