Codruta Stoica obtained her Ph.D. degree in mathematics in 2008 from the Bordeaux 1 University, Talence, France, and the West University of Timișoara, Timișoara, Romania. She obtained her B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics from the West University of Timișoara, Timișoara, Romania. She is currently Vice-Rector in charge of research of Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad, Arad, Romania, Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, the Head of the Bachelor Studies Program "Mathematics Informatics," Faculty of Exact Sciences, at the same university, Member of the Senate of Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad, the Head of the Mathematics & Statistics Research Unit, Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER), Athens, Greece, and National Coordinator for the European Women in Mathematics Association (EWM). Her research interests include mathematics, mathematical modeling of economic processes, and economics.
