Valerie Renaudin



Valerie Renaudin is a Senior Researcher at the IFSTTAR, French Institute of Science and Technology for Transport, Development and Networks. She graduated as a Geomatic Engineer from ESGT, France, in 1999, and received her Ph.D. degree in computer, communication, and information sciences in 2009 from EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland. She has been conducting geolocation activities in the academy and in the industry for more than 13 years. Her international expertise focuses on not only pedestrian navigation using signals from Global Satellites Navigation Systems but also inertial sensors and radio telecommunication technologies for indoor spaces. Among her activities, she surveyed hydraulic networks in China, founded Swissat Ltd. Company (up to 10 employees) for providing a real-time differential correction service based on a permanent network of GPS and GLONASS ground stations, conducted research in Switzerland within LIAISON, an FP6 European Project, and led research in collaboration with major industrial companies, that is, RIM, in Canada.
