Cun F. Gao

Prof. Gao received his PhD in 1998 from Nanjing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics (NUAA) and his PhD thesis was one of the hundred excellent PhD theses in China. He worked 1998-2000, as a Postdoctoral Fellow, at Peking University, 2000-2002, as Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellow, at Dresden University of Technology, Germany; 2002-2003, as a Postdoctoral Fellow, at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology; 2003-2005, as JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) Fellow, at Shizuoka University, Japan. Since 2005, he has been a University Chair Professor at NUAA. He was also a Visiting Professor, 2008-2009, at Sydney University, Australia. His research interests are fracture of piezoelectric materials and thermal-magnetoelectroelastic solids and solid mechanics of multifield-coupled behaviours. He has published over 70 SCI journal papers with high SCI citations. He wins the Second Prize of 2007 State Natural Science Award, China.
