Philip T. Liu
Philip T. Liu received his B.A. degree in molecular and cellular biology with an emphasis on immunology from the University of California, Berkeley, Berkeley, Calif, USA in 2000, followed by a Ph.D. degree in microbiology, immunology, and molecular genetics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Los Angeles, Calif, USA, in 2005. He continued his postdoctoral work at UCLA in the Division of Dermatology, Department of Medicine at UCLA. Since 2011, he holds a joint appointment as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Division of Dermatology, Department of Medicine of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. His research is primarily focused on the role of micronutrients in the innate immune response to intracellular pathogens. He serves as a Member of the American Association of Immunologists since 2005.
