Ihab F. El-Kady

Ihab F. El-Kady received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in condensed matter physics from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, USA, in 2002. Dr. El-Kady currently serves as a Principal Member of the technical staff at Sandia National Laboratories, Livermore, Calif, USA. He also works as a Research Professor of mechanical engineering as well as electrical and computer engineering at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM, USA. Dr. El-Kady is the author/coauthor of over 80 publications in the field of photonic, phononic, and plasmonic crystal research and the holder of 4 patents and 10 technical advances. His research interests include photonic and phononic crystal applications, plasmonics, metamaterials, and sensor technologies.
