Rajendra Dhakal

Rajendra Dhakal was born in Nepal. He received his Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the Kwangwoon University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, in 2016 under the mentorship of Professor Kim Nam-Young, Ph.D., and his B.Eng. degree in electronics and communication engineering in 2003–2007 from Pokhara University, Nepal. Currently, he is working as a Postdoctorate Fellow in the Radio Frequency Integrated Center (RFIC) in the Department of Electronic Engineering, Kwangwoon University. His doctoral thesis is based on the development of the air-cavity structure by integrated passive device technology for the effective radio frequency detection of glycemia level in the human blood. He has successfully reported his works in numerous prestigious peer-reviewed indexed journals and conferences. He was honored with the outstanding Ph.D., foreign student by Kwangwoon University showing the greatest promise in international scientific publications and patents. Dr. Dhakal was also honored as an outstanding presenter and received the best paper award in several international conferences. He has coedited the first volume of Practical RF Biosensor Technology published in February 2017. He serves as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals. His current research interests include the development of micro-/nano-/flexible biosensor in dry-lab technology.
