Sandra Costanzo

Sandra Costanzo received the Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in information engineering from the University of Calabria, Rende, Italy, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the University of Reggio Calabria, Reggio Calabria, Italy, in 1996 and 2000, respectively. Since 1996, she has been with the research group in applied electromagnetics at the University of Calabria. Currently, she serves as an Associate Professor at the Department DIMES, University of Calabria, Cosenza, Italy. Her research interests are focused on near-field far-field techniques, antenna measurement techniques, numerical methods in electromagnetic scattering, and antenna analysis and synthesis. She has been working as a Teacher of remote sensing and propagation and Transmission of Electromagnetic Waves at the University of Calabria in 2001 and 2002, respectively. She is involved in several projects with European Space Agency, Agenzia Spaziale Europea, and MIUR. She is an Active Researcher in the project inherent to the Development and Application of Remote-Sensing Techniques for the Monitoring of Italian Active Volcanoes with Gruppo Nazionale di Geofisica. Costanzo received the Telecom prize for the Best Laurea Thesis in 1996. She works as a Member of IEEE and was working as Conference Chairman of Antenna Measurement Techniques Session at IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, Boston, Massachusetts, in 2001.
