Peter Csaba Ölveczky

Peter Ölveczky was born in Budapest, Hungary, in 1969. He received his master's degree in computer science in 1994 from the University of Oslo, Norway, and his Dr.Scient. degree in 2000 from the University of Bergen, Norway. From 2000, P. Ölveczky has been at the Department of Informatics at the University of Oslo, and became a full professor there in 2008. He has also spent significant amount of time at SRI International and at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), where he is currently a visiting scholar. P. Ölveczky is mainly interested in the formal modeling, simulation, and analysis of distributed real-time systems, including cyber-physical systems, wireless sensor networks, and scheduling algorithms, and in using formal methods to provide formal semantics and formal model checking capabilities to MDE languages for embedded real-time systems. He is also a co-developer (together with José Meseguer at UIUC) of the Real-Time Maude modeling language and formal analysis tool. P. Ölveczky was the PC Chair of WRLA 2010 and RTRTS 2010 and has been a PC member of a number of conferences and workshops.
