Food and Drug Administration Center for Biologics Evaluation & Research, USA

Robert Duncan has broad experience in molecular and cell biology since receiving his PhD in 1989. At the FDA since 1995, he has developed tools for the study of visceral leishmaniasis such as a genomic microarray, resulting in collaborative research in endemic countries. Current work characterizing genes that were identified with his microarray is leading toward evaluation of attenuated Leishmania cell lines with potential as vaccines.
