Sun-Mee Lee received his B.S. degree in pharmacy, his M.S. degree in biopharmacy, and his Ph.D. degree in pharmacology from Sungkyunkwan University, Suwon, Korea, in 1981, 1983, and 1986, respectively. He has been a Professor at the College of Pharmacy, Sungkyunkwan University, since 2001. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University, from 1989 to 1992. He served as an Assistant Professor at the College of Pharmacy, Sungkyunkwan University (from 1992 to 2001), and as a Visiting Professor at the University of North Carolina. He has been the Vice President of The Korean Society of Applied Pharmacology since 2000 and a Regular Member of the Shock Society. His areas of expertise include liver ischemia, reperfusion injury, sepsis, inflammation, oxidative stress, and liver immunology.
