Rajesh R. Tampi received M.B. and B.S. degrees from the Medical College Trivandrum, University of Kerala, Kerala, India (October, 1995), and an MD degree from the University of Leeds, Leeds, UK (July, 1999). He is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, Conn, and the Director at the Masonicare Behavioral Health, Wallingford, Conn. He was board certified in psychiatry (May 2003; Certificate no. 52943), and he achieved a subspecialty certification in geriatric psychiatry (April 2004; Certificate no. 2682). He obtained several professional honors and recognitions, including Chief Resident in psychiatry and Resident of the Year, by the Department of Psychiatry, University of Vermont (2000-2001), three Teaching Attending of the Year Awards, by Yale Psychiatric Residents Association, Department of Psychiatry, Yale University School of Medicine (2002-2003, 2003-2004, 2005-2006), Chairman’s Award, by the Department of Psychiatry, Yale University School of Medicine (2003-2004), and being selected by the Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry, Yale University School of Medicine to attend the Future Leaders in Psychiatry Conference, Palm Beach, FL, USA (2004), All Star Physician, by Yale New Haven Hospital (2006-2007), and being a Fellow at the American Psychiatric Association (2010).
