Name: Željko M. Tomanovic Date and place of birth: 01.09.1966. Užice, Serbia Speaking languages: English Professional career: Graduated from the Department of Biology, Faculty of Natural Science, Belgrade University, in 1991. MSc from the Faculty of Biology in 1994. The title of the thesis: "Parasitic wasps (Aphidiidae, Hymenoptera) and their importance on the seasonal dynamics of the pea aphid, Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris (Aphididae, Homoptera)". PhD from the Faculty of Biology in 1998. The title of the thesis: "Faunistic-ecological and taxonomic study of parasitic wasps (Aphidiidae, Hymenoptera) of the agroecosystems of the southeastern part Pannonian area". In 1991. was elected junior assistant at the Department of Comparative Morphology and Systematics of Animals, Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade. In 1995 promoted to Teaching Assistant and in 2000 became Assistant Professor. In 2006 became Associate Professor, and in 2010 promoted to Full Professor. Current Scientific Investigations and Research Activities: Biodiversity, Systematics, Phylogenetics and Ecology of aphid parasitoids; applied entomology: metapopulation models, parasitoid – host interactions; biological control and monitoring of pest and invasive species; stored product insects. Professional activities: Serbian Entomological Society (President Society from 2007) Serbian Plant Protection Society, Serbian Biosafety Council (GMO) The Ministry of Agriculture International Society of Hymenopterists Entomological Society of America (ESA) Member of Advisory board of the Serbian Ministry of Ecology about biological control agents Member of Advisory board for biodiversity research of Serbian Academy of Sciences
