Walter Keller

Karl-Franzens-Universitaet Graz, Austria

Currently I am Professor for Structural Biology and Biophysics at the Insitute of Molecular Biosciences, University of Graz. During my PostDoc studies at Purdue University (Indiana, USA) and ETH-Zürich (Switzerland) I have been involved in the structure determination of spherical viruses, the HIV-capsid protein and a transcription factor-DNA complex. After returning to the Structural Biology Group at the KF-University of Graz I established several lines of research: * Structure of proteins involved in bacterial conjugation and plasmid stabilization * Structure and assembly of S-layer proteins * Characterization of allergens by X-ray crystallography and biophysical methods (in the framework of an SFB based at the Medical University Vienna).
