Shinichiro Takahashi

Dr. Shinichiro Takahashi obtained M.D. at Hirosaki University School of Medicine, Japan in 1994. After several years of training in internal medicine and hematology, he started basic research and obtained Ph.D. at Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan in 2000. His postdoctoral training was at Dr. Jonathan D. Licht’s Lab. at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He joined Clinical Laboratory in Tohoku University Hospital, Japan, as a medical staff in 2003, and became an assistant professor in 2005. Then he moved to Division of Hematology, Kitasato University School of Allied Health Science, Japan, in 2007 as a professor and chief. He has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and two book chapters on the basic mechanisms of leukemogenesis. He is an active member of American Society of Hematology (ASH), Japanese Society of Hematology (JSH), Japanese Association of Clinical Laboratory Physicians (JACLaP).
