Xiaofan Yang works as a Professor of software engineering in Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, and a New Century Excellent Talent of Educational Ministry of China. He received his B.S. degree from the Department of Mathematics in Sichuan University, Sichuan, China, in 1985, his M.S. degree from the Department of Applied Mathematics in Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, in 1988, and his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science in Chongqing University, Chongqing, China, in 1994. He visited University of Reading, West Berkshire, UK, from 1998 to 1999, and visited Hong Kong Baptist University, Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong, in 2006, 2007, and 2009, respectively. He has published more than 100 research papers in international journals. His research interests include interconnection network, fault tolerant computing, system-level diagnosis algorithm, computer virus modeling, neural network, and nonlinear dynamics.
