Susana Silva-Martinez

Susana Silva-Martinez was awarded a Ph.D. degree in chemistry (electrochemistry) at the University of Southampton, Southampton, England, UK (in 1998). She obtained the M.S. degree in analytical chemistry at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (in 1989) and the B.S. degree in chemical engineering at the Technological Institute of Zacatepec, Mexico (1983). She works as Professor Investigator at the Center for Research in Engineering and Applied Sciences (CIICAp), Autonomous University of Morelos State (UAEM). Her areas of interests are research and development on electrochemical treatment of polluted water, advanced oxidation processes, catalysis, photocatalysis, electrophotocatalysis, and clean energy generation. She has contributed to the training of human resources through the direction of thesis of B.S. degree, M.S. degree, and Doctorate degree. She has published several papers. She was in charge of the CIICAp as Head of the Research Center (in addition to her working activities: academic research, teaching, direction of thesis, tutor, etc.) in the period of May 2010–June 2011.
