James E. Throne

James E. Throne received a B.S. degree in biology from the Southeastern Massachusetts University, North Dartmouth, MA, USA, an M.S. degree in entomology from Washington State University, Pullman, WA, USA, and a Ph.D. degree in entomology from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA. He was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA. Throne is the Director of the San Joaquin Valley Agricultural Sciences Center in Parlier, CA, USA. He is internationally recognized for his research program on ecology and management of stored-product insect pests, the application of simulation modeling to entomological research, and the development of statistical methods for life sciences research.
