Antoine Ayache

Antoine Ayache has been working as a Professor at the Laboratoire Paul Painlevé, Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille, Villeneuve d'Ascq, France, since September 1, 2004. He obtained his Habilitation, with a thesis on mathematics, in December 2003; a Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics in December 1997; and ENSAE-SEA (college of university level specializing in professional training in statistics and economics) in June 1993. His areas of expertise include fractal and multifractal analysis, wavelet theory, Fourier series, stochastic processes, and approximation theory. He is an Editor of the International Journal of Mathematics and Statistics since January 2010. Ayache has served as a referee of about 70 articles submitted to international journals in mathematics and related fields. He has been a member of recruiting committees for recruiting professors and assistant professors; member of Ph.D. committees; supervisor of two Ph.D. theses; Member of the Scientific Committee of the Mathematics Research Unit, UMR CNRS 8524 Laboratoire Painlevé at the Lille 1 University, from the beginning of January 2006 to the end of December 2009; and organizer, with other colleagues, of several international conferences, meetings, and workshops. The "Probability and statistics" seminar of the research unit UMR CNRS 8524 Laboratoire Painlevé is under his responsibility during the civil years 2012 and 2013; the "Colloquium" of the research unit UMR CNRS 8524 Laboratoire Painlevé has been under his responsibility during the academic years 2005-2006.
