Jiawei Xiang

Jiawei Xiang completed his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at the Guangxi University (GXU), Nanning, China) and Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), Xi’an, China, respectively. After graduating from XJTU, in December 2006, he joined the Guilin University of Electronic and Technology (GUET), Guilin, China, as a Researcher. He became an Associate Professor and a Professor, in 2008 and 2010, respectively. Xiang was employed as a Postdoc Researcher at the Ottawa University, Ottawa, ON, Canada, in 2010; JSPS Foreign Researcher at the Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan, in 2011; and AvH Researcher at the University of Hannover, Hannover, Germany, in 2012. Xiang works as a Full-Time Professor at the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at the Wenzhou University, Wenzhou, China, since June 2013. His research areas include finite element method, structural dynamic analysis, and structural health monitoring. Xiang is an active reviewer for more than 30 professional journals and various granting agencies. Xiang is a Member of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and the Chinese Society for Vibration Engineering. Xiang published more than 70 peer-reviewed journal papers (more than 40 international journal papers and more than 30 native language papers).
