Hugo Murua Escobar

Hugo Murua Escobar completed his Doctoral studies at the Centre for Human Genetics Bremen, University of Bremen, Bremen, Germany, from 2000 to 2004, and Graduated as Dr. rer. nat. in November 2004. Murua served as a Senior lecturer/Privatdozent at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, Hanover, Germany, in 2011; a Research Scientist within collaborative research cluster SFB Transregio 37, Hannover Aachen Rostock (DFG), from 2007 to 2012; and a Project Leader within SFB Transregio 37, Hannover Aachen Rostock, TP A2 (DFG), from 2011 to 2012. He is a Full Member of the collaborative research cluster SFB 599, Hannover (DFG), since 2010; a Member of the European Canine Lymphoma Network, since 2010; and a Founding Member of the Cluster of Excellence REBIRTH, Hannover, DFG, since 2007. His research interests include the structural and functional analyses of canine genes for the establishment of therapeutic approaches in oncology.
