Gabriel F. Anhe

Gabriel F. Anhe obtained his B.S. degree in pharmaceutical sciences in 2005 and his Ph.D. degree in 2007 from the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil). He worked on endocrine physiology of pregnancy and lactation under the supervision of Dr. Silvana Bordin. His work focused on the molecular mechanisms underlying the participation of prolactin and glucocorticoids on maternal pancreatic islet plasticity during the peripartum. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. His current research focuses on the importance of melatonin for the programming of circadian variations in energy metabolism.
