Yang K. Chen
Dr. Chen is Professor of Medicine and Section Head of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, at University of Colorado School of Medicine, Denver, Colorado. He also serves as Clinical Practice Director and Chief of Endoscopy at University of Colorado Hospital. Dr. Chen obtained his M.D. degree from the University of the Philippines and completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. He is currently Associate Editor of several medical journals and serves on various committees of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. His current research interests are in interventional endoscopy, particularly as it relates to interventional endoscopic ultrasound, therapeutic ERCP, endoscopic treatment of esophageal diseases, endoscopic transgastric/bariatric surgery, and endoscope prototype development.
