Kyeong-Man Hong

Kyeong-Man Hong was born in Korea in 1965. He received the M.D. and the Ph.D. degrees from Seoul National University (SNU), Seoul, Republic of Korea, in 1990 and 1994, respectively. From 1994 to 1997, he served as a Public Service Doctor in KIST (Korean Institute of Science and Technology). From 1997 to 2004, he was at the Department of Biochemistry of Wonkwang University College of Medicine as a Full-Time Professor (Assistant Professor to Associate Professor). From 2001 to 2002, he was a Research Fellow at the Department of Molecular Human Genetics of OHSU (Oregon Health Sciences University), Oregon, USA. From 2003 to 2004, he was a Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Human Population Genetics of National Cancer Institute, Bethesda, USA. Since 2005, he joined the National Cancer Center, Goyang, Republic of Korea, as a Senior Researcher. He is mainly interested in genetic or epigenetic changes and gene functions in cancer especially in cancer-drug responsiveness.
