Jerome Claverie

Jerome Claverie is a native of France who graduated with a B.S. degree (Magistere) in physical chemistry from Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, France, and a Ph.D. degree in chemistry from Caltech, Pasadena, Calif, USA (1996). After holding several academic and industrial positions, he became an Associate Professor of chemistry at the Université du Québec in Montréal (UQAM), Montreal, QC, Canada, in 2006. Since 2008, he works as a professor of chemistry and he also serves as the Director of NanoQAM, a research center dedicated to the study of nanomaterials in Montreal, QC, Canada. He currently heads the Quebec Center for Functional Materials, a national center fostering all active researchers in the study of organic functional materials. His research interests include catalytic polymerization, controlled radical polymerization, and emulsion polymerization.
