Ali Said Faqi

Ali Said Faqi is Senior Director of Developmental and Reproductive Toxicology and a Senior Principal Scientist at MPI Research, Mattawan, Mich, USA. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Leipzig in Germany in 1995 and D.V.M. degree from Somali National University. He earned a Diploma of specialization in experimental pharmacology from the University of Milan in Italy. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Free University of Berlin in Germany from 1996 to 1998. Before joining MPI Research, Dr. Faqi was a Senior Scientist at Allergan Pharmaceuticals in Irvine, Calif, USA, and a Research Toxicologist at IIT Research Institute in Chicago, Ill, USA. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (D.A.B.T.) and a Member of the Editorial Board of Reproductive Toxicology Journal. Dr. Faqi also serves as a Member of Board Scientific Counselors (BOSC) Computational Toxicology at the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA). He is a past Chairman of the membership committee of the teratology society and a past President of Michigan Chapter of the Society of Toxicology. Dr. Faqi is a visiting Professor of pharmacology and toxicology at the University of Palermo in Italy. He has published extensively in the field of developmental and reproductive toxicology.
